Έλαβα μία ανακοίνωση ότι στον ιστότοπο http://mathingreece.org/ καταγράφονται όλα
τα ερευνητικά Σεμινάρια και Συνέδρια Μαθηματικού περιεχομένου στην Ελλάδα και Κύπρο.

Τον ιστότοπο τον επιμελούνται οι Αριστοτέλης Παναγιωτόπουλος και Γεώργιος Κυδωνάκης του Πανεπιστημίου του
Illinois στην Urbana-Champaign των ΗΠΑ.

Εύγε στην πρωτοβουλία των συναδέλφων, τους οποίους ευχαριστώ θερμά.

Καλό είναι να τους τροφοδοτούμε με πληροφορίες. Π.χ. δεν βλέπω να ανακοινώνεται το επικείμενο Συνέδριο της Ε.Μ.Ε. στα Χανιά, ενδεχομένως από έλλειψη διαύλου επικοινωνίας.

Dear Member of the Hellenic Mathematical Community,

We would like to bring the following website to your attention:

www.mathingreece.org

This website aims at listing, as completely as possible, announcements for the conferences, workshops and
seminars in Mathematics, pure and applied, being organized within the "boundaries" of the Hellenic Mathematical Community.

The goal is twofold:

* to create a portal where the members of the Hellenic and International Mathematical Community can be informed
about the research meetings taking place in Greece and Cyprus.

* to encourage especially undergraduate and graduate students from the eight Hellenic Departments of Mathematics
to participate in such events as an initial step towards the further development of University level Mathematics in these
departments.
In this direction, it would be greatly appreciated if you could keep sending the announcements for any future mathematics
conferences or seminars taking place in Greece or Cyprus that you may organize (or even participate in), as well as any
comments, to the e-mail address mathingreece@gmail.com in order to keep this website up to date and further develop it.
